LTB 2017

Title:6th International Workshop on Load Testing and Benchmarking of Software Systems
Submission Deadline:2017-01-10
Dates:April 23, 2017
Location:L'Aquila, Italy
Load testing and benchmarking software systems are difficult tasks, which requires a great understanding of the system under test and customer behavior. Practitioners face many challenges such as tooling (choosing and implementing the testing tools), environments (software and hardware setup) and time (limited time to design, test, and analyze). This one-day workshop brings together software testing researchers, practitioners and tool developers to discuss the challenges and opportunities of conducting research on load testing and benchmarking software systems.

Title:The 16th Workshop on Hot Topics in Operating Systems
Submission Deadline:2017-01-25
Dates:May, 7-10, 2017
Location:Whistler, British Columbia, Canada
The 16th Workshop on Hot Topics in Operating Systems will bring together researchers and practitioners in computer systems, broadly construed. Continuing the HotOS tradition, participants will present and discuss new ideas in systems research and how technological advances and new applications are shaping our computational infrastructure.

BeyondMR 2017

Title:The 4th workshop on Algorithms and Systems for MapReduce and Beyond
Submission Deadline:2017-01-27
Dates:May, 19-19, 2017
Location:Raleigh, NC, USA
Algorithms and Systems for MapReduce and Beyond (BeyondMR) is a workshop for research at the frontier of large-scale computations, with topics ranging from algorithms, to computational models, to the systems themselves. The workshop aims to explore algorithms, computational models, architectures, languages and interfaces for systems that need large-scale parallelization and systems designed to support efficient parallelization and fault tolerance. These include specialized programming and data-management systems based on MapReduce and extensions, graph processing systems, data-intensive workflow and dataflow systems.

Title:29th Euromicro Conference on Real-Time Systems
Submission Deadline:2017-01-31
Dates:June 27-30, 2017
Location:Dubrovnik, Croatia
ECRTS is the premier European venue for presenting research into the broad area of real-time and embedded systems. ECRTS has been in the forefront of the real-time community in introducing innovations such as artefact evaluation; open-access proceedings, etc., into the larger real-time computing community. ECRTS 17 will apply an open access publication model in collaboration with LIPIcs – Leibniz International Proceedings in Informatics established in cooperation with Schloss Dagstuhl –Leibniz Center for Informatics.

DEBS 2017

Title:The 11th ACM International Conference on Distributed and Event‐based Systems
Abstract Deadline:2017-02-21
Submission Deadline:2017-02-26
Dates:June, 19 - 23, 2017
Location:Barcelona, Spain, Europe
Over the past decade, the ACM International Conference on Distributed and Event‐based Systems (DEBS) has become the premier venue for contributions in the fields of distributed and event‐based systems. The objectives of the ACM International Conference on Distributed and Event‐Based Systems (DEBS) are to provide a forum dedicated to the dissemination of original research, the discussion of practical insights, and the reporting of experiences relevant to distributed systems and event‐based computing. The conference aims at providing a forum for academia and industry to exchange ideas through industry papers and demo papers.

Title:10th ACM International Systems and Storage Conference
Submission Deadline:2017-02-22
Dates:05, 22-24, 2017
Location:Haifa, Israel
SYSTOR provides a forum for interaction across the systems and storage community: international, academic, and industrial, for both students and more established members. We solicit high-quality experimental and practical research papers encompassing all aspects of computer systems. Research papers will be published by the ACM. In addition to research papers, SYSTOR hosts distinguished keynote speakers, highlighted papers from recent top conferences, a poster session, and social and cultural activities.

ISMM 2017

Title:The 16th ACM SIGPLAN International Symposium on Memory Management
Submission Deadline:2017-02-26
Dates:June 18, 2017
Location:Barcelona, Spain
The International Symposium on Memory Management (ISMM) is a premier forum for research in memory management. ISMM focuses on garbage collection, dynamic storage allocation, storage management implementation techniques, plus interactions with languages and operating systems, and empirical studies of memory allocation and access behavior in programs. ISMM 2017 is soliciting full-length submissions covering new work on memory management topics as well as papers presenting confirmations or refutations of important prior results. Surveys and comparative analyses that shed new light on previously published techniques are also welcome.

ACM WiSec 2017

Title:ACM Conference on Security and Privacy in Wireless and Mobile Networks
Abstract Deadline:2017-03-13
Submission Deadline:2017-03-20
Dates:July, 18 - 20, 2016
Location:Boston, USA
ACM WiSec is the leading ACM and SIGSAC conference dedicated to all aspects of security and privacy in wireless and mobile networks and their applications. In addition to the traditional ACM WiSec topics of physical, link, and network layer security, we welcome papers focusing on the security and privacy of mobile software platforms, usable security and privacy, biometrics, cryptography, and the increasingly diverse range of mobile or wireless applications such as Internet of Things, and Cyber-Physical Systems. ECBS integrates software, hardware, and communication perspective of system engineering through its many facets that include system modeling, requirements specification, simulation, architectures, safety, security, reliability, human–computer interaction, system integration, verification and validation, high performance/parallel computing, cloud-based technologies, and project management.

The SIGOPS-ANNOUNCE mailing list is intended to provide a low-volume channel that provides operating systems researchers and practitioners with information about upcoming events or other important announcements. In general, a message containing a group of such announcements will be sent about once per month with the subject line "SIGOPS-ANNOUNCE monthly posting". On rare occasions, announcements of particular interest or urgency will be sent out with a different subject line, starting with "SIGOPS-ANNOUNCE supplemental posting" (for readers who wish to use mail filtering programs.) Finally, this mailing list is made available for use by publicity chairs of SIGOPS-sponsored conferences and the SIGOPS officers.
