HotNets-XI will bring together researchers in computer networks and systems to engage in a lively debate on the theory and practice of networking. HotNets will provide a venue for debating broad future research agendas in networking and for presenting innovative ideas that have the potential to significantly influence the community. We invite researchers and practitioners to submit short position papers. We are particularly interested in papers that foster discussion of broad research agendas for the networking community as a whole. We strongly encourage papers that identify fundamental open questions, or offer a constructive critique of the state of networking research. ICISS 2012, the Eight conference in this series, will be held under the aegis of the newly formed Society for Research in Information Security and Privacy (SRISP). The acceptance ratio of the first seven conferences has averaged less than 30%, and the proceedings have been published as part of the Springer-Verlag series of Lecture Notes in Computer Science. The ACM SoCC Tutorial program aims to address the state-of-the-art in research and development regarding all aspects of cloud computing. It is intended to be of interest to the entire cloud computing community, from novices to seasoned researchers, and from people working in academia to industry professionals. Potentially relevant tutorial topics include the broad range of topics identified in the SoCC Call for Papers. Proposals are solicited for tutorials of either a half- or full-day. Submissions should be made via e-mail as a single PDF attachment sent to the SoCC PC Chairs and should include a cover sheet and an extended abstract.

The Exascale Operating Systems and Runtime Technical Council has been convened by the DOE and NNSA to develop a research agenda and plan to address them. Responsive submissions will be made public via the OS/R TC website and portions may be included in the final report. The goal of the International Conference on Performance Engineering (ICPE) is to integrate theory and practice in the field of performance engineering by providing a forum for sharing ideas and experiences between industry and academia. ICPE is established as a joint meeting of the ACM Workshop on Software and Performance (WOSP) and the SPEC International Performance Evaluation Workshop (SIPEW). The conference brings together researchers and industry practitioners to share and present their experiences, discuss challenges, and report state-of-the-art and in-progress research on performance engineering of software and systems, including performance measurement, modeling, benchmark design, and run-time performance management.
