Location:Belgrade, Serbia
Contact Email:eurosys2017-chairs@eurosys.org
Synopsis:
The EuroSys conference series brings together professionals from academia and industry. It has a strong focus on systems research and development: operating systems, data base systems, real-time systems and middleware for networked, distributed, parallel, or embedded computing systems. EuroSys has become a premier forum for discussing various issues of systems software research and development, including implications related to hardware and applications.

WWW 2017

Title:World Wide Web Conference 2017 Systems and Infrastructure Track
Abstract Deadline:2016-10-19
Submission Deadline:2016-10-24
Webpage:http://www.www2017.com.au/call-for-papers/systems-and-infrastructure.php

Location:Perth, Western Australia
Contact Email:infrastructure-www-2017@googlegroups.com.
Synopsis:
The Systems and Infrastructure track at WWW 2017 invites papers related to the architecture and construction of systems and infrastructure underlying Internet services that operate at a global scale. Topics of interest include but are not limited to: Cloud computing; Challenges and support for outsourcing computations to the cloud; Highly available and reliable data centre systems; Transactional systems and models for data centres; Distributed storage and caching, CDNs; Energy efficiency in data centres; Self-organizing, autonomous, and federated data centre and cloud systems; Managing, debugging, and diagnosing problems in data centre systems; Virtualization and resource management for data centres; Data centre networking and its interplay with data centre systems; Experience with deployed/operational data centre and cloud systems; Infrastructure for big data computations/analytics. Economics of cloud computing.

NEW THIS MONTH!

VisorHPC 2016

Title:1st Workshop on Virtualization Solutions for High-Performance Computing
Submission Deadline:2016-10-31
Webpage:https://visorhpc.github.io
Dates:January, 24th, 2017
Location:Stockholm, Sweden
Contact Email:slankes@eonerc.rwth-aachen.de
Synopsis:
Virtualization solutions are quite common in cloud computing environments; their usage is in contrast by far not prevalent in the domain of HPC. This is because, at least up to now, virtualization solutions like the employment of virtual machines have proven to be too heavyweight to be acceptable in scalable HPC systems. However, future exascale systems, equipped with a much larger amount of computing cores than today’s HPC systems, will demand for resiliency and malleability features that may only be provided by increasing likewise the degree of virtualization within the systems, which is addressed in the workshop VisorHPC.

NEW THIS MONTH!

AsiaCCS 2017

Title:2017 ACM Asia Conference on Computer and Communications Security
Submission Deadline:2016-11-01
Webpage:http://asiaccs2017.com/

Location:Abu Dhabi, UAE
Contact Email:rkarri@nyu.edu
Synopsis:
Submitted papers must not substantially overlap papers that have been published or that are simultaneously submitted to a journal or a conference with proceedings. All submissions should be appropriately anonymized (i.e., papers should not contain author names or affiliations, or obvious citations). Submissions must be in double-column ACM SIG Proceedings format, and should not exceed 12 pages. Only PDF files will be accepted. Authors of accepted papers must guarantee that their papers will be presented at the conference. At least one author of the paper must be registered at the appropriate full conference rate.

2. ABOUT SIGOPS-ANNOUNCE

The SIGOPS-ANNOUNCE mailing list is intended to provide a low-volume channel that provides operating systems researchers and practitioners with information about upcoming events or other important announcements. In general, a message containing a group of such announcements will be sent about once per month with the subject line "SIGOPS-ANNOUNCE monthly posting". On rare occasions, announcements of particular interest or urgency will be sent out with a different subject line, starting with "SIGOPS-ANNOUNCE supplemental posting" (for readers who wish to use mail filtering programs.) Finally, this mailing list is made available for use by publicity chairs of SIGOPS-sponsored conferences and the SIGOPS officers.
