The 38th IEEE International Symposium on Reliable Distributed Systems (SRDS 2019) is a forum for researchers and practitioners interested in distributed systems design, development and evaluation, with emphasis on reliability, availability, safety, dependability, security, and real-time. We welcome Research Papers describing original research as well as design, development and experimental results of operational systems, Practical Experience Reports describing ongoing industrial projects, prototype systems and exploratory or emerging applications, and Tool Papers describing architecture, implementation and usage of substantive tools to aid the research and practice of reliable distributed systems. Papers will be assessed with criteria appropriate to each category.

The Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS) is a premier international forum for presenting computer systems research in the area of information science. HICSS conducts sessions on various key topics that the conference treats as tracks of minitracks. The here announced minitrack on Cyber-Physical Information Systems (CPIS) is part of the Software Technology Track. We encourage systems papers that span different communities and, as enabling technology for information systems, especially address infrastructure solutions in the areas of operating, real-time, network, and distributed systems.

Summary:
The SIGOPS Board elections are coming up.  Please note that anyone who wants to vote in the April 30th election has to be an active member of SIGOPS on or before April 15th (the eligible voter cut-off date).

2. ABOUT SIGOPS-ANNOUNCE

The SIGOPS-ANNOUNCE mailing list is intended to provide a low-volume channel that provides operating systems researchers and practitioners with information about upcoming events or other important announcements. In general, a message containing a group of such announcements will be sent about once per month with the subject line "SIGOPS-ANNOUNCE monthly posting". On rare occasions, announcements of particular interest or urgency will be sent out with a different subject line, starting with "SIGOPS-ANNOUNCE supplemental posting" (for readers who wish to use mail filtering programs.) Finally, this mailing list is made available for use by publicity chairs of SIGOPS-sponsored conferences and the SIGOPS officers.
