The Brazilian Symposium on Computing Systems Engineering (SBESC) invites you to submit original research papers for the symposium. Accepted papers will be published in IEEE Xplore. Research on topics related to operating systems, real-time and critical systems, and embedded systems are within the topics of interest. The SBESC'2016 will be held in João Pessoa city, in northeast of Brazil. João Pessoa was founded in 1585 and is known as the city where the sun rises first, because it is the easternmost city in the Americas. The city has multiple beaches along 30 km of warm and crystal water.

Medical progress increasingly depends on analyzing large data sets. This is often prevented by data silos and stringent privacy requirements. New technologies are emerging that allow privacypreserving collaborative analytics of medical data, even if the amounts of data are large, the security and privacy requirements remain stringent, and the data origins from multiple silos. In particular fields with highly sensitive data such as genomics or other health domains, the wide range of privacy-preserving analytics technologies promise to enable new and exciting applications and scientific breakthroughs.
