IntroductionAdvances in communications and computing technology are making it possible to support increasingly sophisticated applications for an ever-widening range of users. These applciations are, in their turn, increasingly being assembled from existing and new software components. The Eighth ACM Special Interest Group on Operating Systems European Workshop will focus on the use of components to build reliable, robust, secure, and maintainable systems that meet the functional and performance requirements of diverse bodies of users, platforms and environments. These pages are intended to provide information to intending authors and atendees. Note that attendance is by invitation only and is limited to 60 people.
