This page contains some hopefully useful information about Kiawah.

Please note, that you should not call Kiawah Island Resort about rooming or SOSP registration info. Only exception is if you need accomodation beyond the nigths of December 12th-14th, that are covered by our registration process.

Weather

Child care

A list of babysitters is available. Call the concierge at (843)768-2121 and she will fax the list to you.

Golf reservations

Kiawah has five golf courses that are described at: http://www.kiawahresort.com/golf/.
To make a reservation for a specific course, call the main Kiawah number (800)654-2924 and ask for that course. You may be asked for your room number when making reservations. If your room hasn't yet been assigned, mention the SOSP conference.
All fees are the responsibility of the participant, not the conference.

Bike rental

Kiawah is an excellent place for biking, both on the beach and on a network of paved trails. All of the places below rent bikes suitable for beach and trail riding.

Note: These bike shops recommend that you reserve your bike a week in advance of the conference.
